P. 7

Welcome to the Great Whitsundays on the
tropical Queensland coast of Australia -
numerous islands, coral reefs, waterways,
mainland forests and dozens of island
and mainland things to see and do. Swim,
snorkel, scuba dive, fish, jet ski, windsurf or
paddle. Cruise away for a day, overnight or
as many days as you like. Get airborne for a breathtaking view.
Take to the trails, meet a croc, ride a bike, shop, be pampered, sip on a cool drink, eat at a different restaurant for every meal, or do absolutely nothing!
Seem too good to be true? A unique geographic location, blissful weather and excellent service ethics make it all possible. What’s more, it’s safe, clean and friendly with no travel-alert stress.
Stay on a resort island or make your base
on the mainland where Airlie Beach,
Cannonvale, Jubilee Pocket, Proserpine
and hamlets through to Bowen and
Mackay and beyond offer a wide choice of things to do and easy access to reef and islands.
Getting Around
Experience the awesome beauty of the islands, coast and hinterland, by land, sea and air. BYO car or hire a car, van, scooter or push bike in Airlie. Jump on a bus or grab a taxi from the airport and to get around.
If you fancy exploring on foot, including the walking trails, bring your walking shoes. There’s lots within walking distance of most accommodations. On the water, island transfers and cruises abound. Most tour operators will collect you for your day out and drop you back later.

'the apartment was really nice . . .
The view from the two balconies was something extra, not to mention the two swimming pools. We really can recommend this!'
